Case

April, the founder of Teton Wood Blooms based in Grand Teton, Wyoming, had built a successful Etsy presence selling home goods and crafted apparel and was beginning to create sola wood floral arrangements. She was ready to break into the wedding market and wanted to position herself as a wedding floral designer with a memorable brand that echoes the heart and purpose behind her business.

During her discovery, one of the key pain points we discovered was her current brand was lacking memorability, leaving her business blending into the crowd of Etsy sellers, so establishing a stunning brand experience through her packaging in order to increase brand recognition with current and future customers would become a necessary part of her brand strategy.

Strategy

While Teton’s stunning products deserve to take center stage, the positioning of this brand really centers around the emotional value it offers. Connecting the product to the memories they are a significant part of allows us to speak to the customer on an emotional level.

Further, we seek to emphasize the customizable nature of the products, allowing the customer to create her own bouquet that is just as unique and special as she is and one that perfectly captures her vision for her big day. By speaking to the desire for a “perfect wedding” that’s everything she hopes and dreams of, we are able to touch on the core desire of the customer and offer the brand as not a commodity but a service.

Brand Visual Identity Design

Following the brand strategy, we began work on the brand visual identity design. We settled early on to use a dusty blue shade that appears in many of the floral arrangements as the primary color for the brand, giving the brand a soft elegance. Rounding out the palette with a softer shade of blue, neutrals, blush pink, and gold, we began work on the logo design.

The custom logo, based on an elegant sans-serif font with custom-created elements, serves as a timeless wordmark that speaks to simplicity and beauty. A custom floral illustration nods to the products and serves as an independent design element on its own that can also be paired with the logo as a design accent.

Finally, a custom, hand-drawn monogram brings visual dimension to the brand and represents the beautiful calligraphy often found in wedding invitations and signs.

Custom Packaging Design

With a need to increase brand experience and awareness among customers, designing custom packaging was a key part of our process. However, the client needed to keep her costs low, so we settled upon budget-friendly options such as a stamp for her shipping boxes and printed collateral that would accomplish her goal at an affordable price point.

Shopify Website Development

After the visual identity design, we carried the brand into a custom website built on Shopify that expands the brand’s reach and presence.
